Portfolio
Some Things I’ve Done, or,
Notes from the scene of the crime
I have been creating technical documentation and copy in one form or another since 2012. This portfolio consists of samples of some of my professional work. If you would like to see more or require specific examples, please get in touch with me directly. Much of my work is still bound by Non-Disclosure Agreements and I am unable to post them publicly.
Below you will find a selection of technical writing and copywriting samples from throughout my career. If you would like a more specific sample or don’t see what you’re looking for, please let me know.
Software
As a software company's technical writer, I create clear and concise documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, release notes, API documentation, and troubleshooting guides. I collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and team members to ensure accurate information. My role also involves translating complex technical concepts into user-friendly language, making software more accessible. I actively update documentation for software changes and new features, ensuring users have up-to-date information.
Hardware
As a technical writer in the automotive hardware sector, I create clear documentation for users and technicians, covering manuals, assembly guides, maintenance procedures, and technical specs. Collaborating with engineers and product managers, I emphasize accuracy and clarity in conveying complex hardware concepts. I also simplify technical details for broader understanding. Regularly updating documentation to reflect changes and improvements is crucial, providing users with the latest, relevant information for optimal usage and maintenance.
